Bullet-proof hull, designed and built in Holland to survive the North Sea, hull was design wit fin keel and a skeg mounted spade rudder.
The Contest 33 is a Dutch import built by Conyplex, NV, one of the largest boatbuilding companies in Europe at the time. The boat was designed by U van Essen (designer of the Flying Dutchman).
With mahogany throughout and thirty seven drawers and lockers, interior accomodations include a forward v-berth cabin, large head to port, main salon with two berths and drop leaf table, galley to starboard, and quarter berth aft on port side.
