The MacGregor 65 holds many long distance sailing records. It was also one of the finest long distance cruising yachts ever built, motoring fast and sailing up to 25 knts, fun to sail, very powerful and fast, but well enough engineered and thought out that you can easily and safely sailed her single handed.
The long waterline also provides an extremely stable, comfortable motion at sea and at anchor, with far less pitching than on smaller yacht.
